What to Expect
This is the Agafay Desert's greatest-hits package compressed into a single evening — quad biking across the stone desert, a camel ride in traditional nomadic dress, sunset over the Atlas Mountains, a full Moroccan dinner under a Berber tent, and a fire show to close the night. All of it 40 minutes from your hotel in Marrakech.
Pickup is from your accommodation in the afternoon. The drive to the Agafay takes about 40 minutes, during which the red city gives way to arid plains and the dramatic silhouette of the High Atlas.
The Experience
Quad Biking (1 Hour)
The quad bike session covers roughly 15-20 km across the rocky Agafay terrain. No prior experience is needed — you get a safety briefing and the guides stay with the group throughout. The route winds through dry riverbeds, rocky plateaus, and open desert with unobstructed views of the Atlas Mountains.
The bikes are automatic, so there is no gear-shifting to worry about. Goggles and helmets are provided. Dust is inevitable — wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty.
Camel Ride (1 Hour)
After the quads, you switch to a slower pace. The camel ride follows a scenic route through the desert as the light softens toward golden hour. Traditional nomadic robes are provided — they look great in photos and are surprisingly practical against the late-afternoon sun.
The camels are led by experienced handlers, so the ride is relaxed even for first-timers. The pace is gentle and the views of the setting sun over the desert are the reward.
Sunset, Dinner & Fire Show
Dinner is served in a Berber tent as the sun goes down. The menu is a traditional Moroccan spread: salad, tagine, couscous, and fruit, with mint tea and soft drinks throughout. Vegetarian options are available.
After dinner, a fire show with live drumming and traditional music rounds out the evening. The atmosphere is warm and festive without being loud or overwhelming.
The return drive to Marrakech gets you back to your hotel by approximately 9:30-10:00 PM.
