What to Expect
Chefchaouen is one of the most photogenic towns on earth, but getting great photos of yourself in it — rather than of it — is harder than it looks. Phone selfies in the blue alleys compete with crowds, harsh light, and awkward angles. This tour pairs you with a local professional photographer who knows exactly where to go, when the light works, and how to make you look natural in front of a camera.
You get 30+ professionally edited photos delivered digitally within 24-48 hours. The session lasts 60-75 minutes and covers the most visually striking corners of the medina — including spots most visitors never find.
How It Works
You meet the photographer at Bab Souk, the main entrance to the medina, or at your hotel if it is inside the old city. The session begins with a short conversation about what kind of photos you want — couples, solo portraits, family shots, travel-style candids — and then you walk.
The photographer leads you through a curated route of the medina's best blue streets, hidden doorways, stairways, and rooftop viewpoints. They handle the technical side (composition, lighting, angles) and give natural posing direction — nothing stiff or forced. The goal is photos that look candid and relaxed, not staged.

Who Is This For?
Couples traveling together who want photos beyond selfies and tripod shots. Solo travelers who want to actually appear in their travel photos. Families who want a keepsake that is better than a phone snapshot. Influencers and content creators who need high-quality imagery.
The session accommodates up to 2 people at the base price. Additional participants can be added for a supplement.
No modelling experience is needed — the photographer specialises in working with people who are not used to being in front of a camera.
Practical Tips
- ▸ What to wear: Bright or neutral colours photograph best against the blue walls. Avoid busy patterns. Flowing fabrics (dresses, scarves) add movement to the images.
- ▸ Time of day: Early morning and late afternoon light is best. The photographer will suggest the optimal time based on the season.
- ▸ Weather: Sessions run in light rain (the wet streets create beautiful reflections) but may be rescheduled in heavy rain.
- ▸ Delivery: Photos are delivered digitally. Ask about prints or albums if you want physical copies.
